Help estimating amount of soot from kerosene

Is there any way to estimate the amount of soot that would be left from burning kerosene? I understand each batch of kerosene is different but there must be some formula somewhere I could apply.
Soot normally comes from the incomplete oxidization of the aromatic hydrocarbons. You might be able to find some correlation between aromatic content and soot produced, but the amount of oxygen present for combustion would also have an impact along with combustion temperature and other factors.
The past is there to guide us into the future, not to dwell in.
Sounds like when our air freshener department wanted us to develop a way of quantitating candle soot.

I was also thinking, if you burn kerosene at a high enough temperature with excess oxygen you should get little to no soot. That would make estimation of soot very dependent on the final application in which the kerosene is burned.
