section d., page 11 onward. IPA may be used with the BEH amide phase. As a reminder, the BEH amide phase is Non-Endcapped, thus it could be that adding triethylamine (also known as TEA, as HPLC Chemist suggested above) will eliminate the tailing as salt concentration/temperature variation apparently aren't working for your application.

If TEA is added, please strongly consider adding this additive to both eluents you are using. Be wary of the backpressure with IPA water mixtures, as well. TEA is historically used in reverse phase work in combination with non-endcapped phases to eliminate tailing under acidic conditions. Perhaps if the amide phase is getting older and despite the high buffer concentration being used, the TEA can help even at this basic pH.

If IPA doesn't work, I would try using a different column that is end-capped. Typically, these columns are more hydrophobic and have a higher 'Carbon' percentage.
