So I have an HPLC problem, I have 2 210 pumps(A & B), a 800 MIB converter, and a 355 RI detector. The software I am using is galaxie configuration manager. My problem is that the software does not detect the 355 RI detector and only detects Pump A. Is it the way I am connecting the relay? The connection is as follows: PC->Converter->Pump A->Pump B.
Thanks!
Myca

Hello,

The 355 RI detector is not supported by Galaxie.
Only the 356-RI detector was supported, but not using the Galaxie Varian LC package, but only the Varian Modular LC package.
As Galaxie is no more supported anymore, and as the licenses are not sold since almost 2 years, I'm afraid you have no solution to control your RI using Galaxie...
You still can get the analog data using MIB, in this case, the detector will not be controlled.
you have to setup the MIB driver (800 analog when adding driver in the instrument), and to setup the right analog port.
Hi Myca,

I was wondering if you managed to get your Varian 210 pumps communicating OK? I was the Varian UK Galaxie Specialist before Agilent's takeover and would be glad to be of service to you.

Kind regards,

Bob
Hi,
I have communication problems with Prostar 210/218 pumps. Please, send me settings from Galaxie Configuration manager for pump.
Thank you
Dusan
