Hello every body,

Why always doing forced degradation study in HCl for Acid hydrolysis and NaOH for base hydrolysis, why not using other acids and bases for forced degradation study, is their any particular reason. please explain.

These are simple, cheap, common and also strong acids and bases. You may also use other acids. For acid base degradation achieved pH is important not the the acid or base you used. As a special case; if you also search for the simulation of API under stomach conditions it's better for you use HCl as acid
